From July 1, 2006, the use of certain hazardous
substances like lead (Pb), mercury (Hg) and cadmium (Cd) etc. in
electronic equipment brought into circulation inside the European Union
will be banned by Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS Directive). In order to help
our customers to comply with these environmental requirements, Circuit
Design, Inc. is in the process of creating RoHS compatible versions for
most of our major products. The manufacture of RoHS compatible versions
includes the renewal of existing designs and the replacement of components
with RoHS compliant ones, as well as the use of Pb free solder in the
entire process.
The table below shows the availability of RoHS compliant versions.

Remarks
1)Tests boards and evaluation boards are excluded from the RoHS compliance
plan because they are not for mass use, but for testing and evaluation.
2) Circuit Design will stop manufacturing lead (Pb) soldered products when
the production of RoHS compliant products starts.
3) For identification of the RoHS compliant products, we have adopted a
product numbering standard with "-R ” as the last character of the model
number.
Example:
CDP-TX-04S: Existing lead (Pb) soldered product
CDP-TX-04S-R: RoHS compliant product

WEEE directive
Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
defines prevention of WEEE and procedure of reuse and recycling by the
parties involved in the process. In this regard, Circuit Design's RF
module products do not fall under the scope of the WEEE directive, as they are not finished products, but are built into
the host equipment. The responsibility for recycling as defined by the
WEEE directive must be taken by the manufacturer of the host equipment or
finished products.
