Announcing the LMD-401 radio transceiver module for industrial applications in North America

Circuit Design, Inc., the leading supplier of low-power radio modules, is releasing the RF transceiver module LMD-401 for industrial applications. The LMD-401 is an RF module that is certified with FCC Part 90 in the United States and ISED RSS-119 in Canada.

The LMD-401 has been developed as a successor to the highly rated LMD-400-R, a compact integrated module with the long-range transmission, battery operation, and excellent interference rejection characteristics demanded for use in radio equipment. The LMD-401 is pin-compatible with the LMD-400-R, and as well as retaining equivalent performance, enables reduced current consumption and a greater operating temperature range. Users can set any frequencies*1 within the 458 MHz to 462.5 MHz band, and RF output within this band gives improved flatness. Receiver performance includes superior interference rejection characteristics that fulfill the highest European EN300220 receiver standard, category 1.

With the LMD-401, Circuit Design covers license bands in North America, and alongside the STD-302Z RF transceiver module*2, which covers ISM bands in Europe and Asia, offers a range of integrated radio modules for industrial use in the 400 MHz band*3. These models are designed to have low spurious emissions and superior interference rejection capabilities. Users can expect stable operation, even in a site where multiple radio units are being operated simultaneously.
*2 The STD-302Z and LMD-401 are interface compatible.
*3 The 400 MHz band is suited to radio control applications in a site where limited line of sight environments and numerous obstructions are present, for example on construction sites.
